Explore the Humanitarian Trail independently at your own pace in the language of your choice: English, French, Spanish and Arabic. Click on a stop corresponding to the visual and read the story. On some stops you can view short videos as well.
Trace the origin of the Red Cross and Red Crescent story where it took place on the Old Town Trail – starts in front of Henry Dunant’s bust at the Place de Neuve and ends at the Hôtel de Ville in the Old Town.
Follow the expansion of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement and its presence in Geneva’s global hub on the Red Cross and Red Crescent Promenade – starts in front of the little Chalet des Crêts in the IFRC Park and ends at the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Museum.

Duration
The Old Town Trail and the Red Cross and Red Crescent Promenade each take approximately 90 minutes with a walking time of 30 minutes.
Accessibility
Physically accessible to all, although there are some uphill and cobbled streets in the Old Town.
The International Red Cross and Red Crescent Museum is fully accessible by visitors in wheelchairs and reduced mobility.

IFRC: bus 3 (Petit-Saconnex stop), bus 22 (Colladon stop)
ICRC & Museum: bus 8, 22, F (Appia stop)
Place des Nations: bus 5, 8, 20 and tram 15 (Nations stop)
Place de Neuve: bus 3, 5, 20 and tram 12, 14, 17 (Place de Neuve)
For visitors staying in hotels in Geneva, free transport passes will be provided by email for buses, trams, local trains and yellow taxi-boats (Mouettes). Check with the hotel reception if you have not received it.
